I believe we should have a stronger, more tightly-knit community where everyone feels a sense of belonging and a voice that is heard. Envision vibrant public spaces, the celebration of the remarkable work done by local organizations, and increased opportunities for everyone to actively shape our neighborhood. We must prioritize effective solutions and exceptional essential services. Our commitment is to achieve real equity, moving beyond mere rhetoric to action. I want to ensure that our local government stands as a genuine partner in building a brighter, more inclusive future for all. Let’s come together to make this vision a reality!

Our neighborhood is historic, changing, vibrant, welcoming, and belongs to all of us. We want to see it improve, but not at the cost of losing our place: our homes, our spaces for fun, our spaces that make this community special. Other neighborhoods have successfully protected areas that are important to their communities. We can do more to protect ours.

Expand Homeownership Opportunities: Homeownership remains unattainable for most residents, leading many to move. We need to develop pathways for first-time buyers across the middle and lower income ranges.
Strengthen Tenant Protections: Implement tenant's right of first refusal and extend eviction notices to 90 days for no-fault evictions, offering vital stability.
Explore Community Land Trusts & Historic Preservation: Safeguard affordable housing, artist havens, and green spaces, allowing growth while retaining our identity.
Improve Transparency on Community Benefits: Require public, quarterly reports on fulfilled community benefit agreements, ensuring accountability and keeping residents informed.

Our environment is changing, and with it, our daily lives are evolving. Adapting our current habits is needed on every front, but accessibility is key. There is no one-size-fits-all solution for navigating our city. Bike lanes, green developments, and expanded public transportation should not come at the cost of accessibility. Ultimately, the goal is to create a livable Boston for future generations, without leaving our present residents behind.

Environmental Resilience and Sustainability: Expand stormwater drainage systems, create rain gardens, and incentivize green roofs on large developments to prevent flooding.
Improved Bike Infrastructure: Improve bike lanes while taking into account pedestrian and vehicle needs—our roads are for everyone.
Transportation Planning and Rideshare Management: Require developments that will depend on rideshares or buses to have dedicated areas for pickup and dropoff, off of the public right of way.

Boston is home because of the support it gives its residents, but we can’t deny that life isn’t always easy here. Some feel lonely, others feel unheard, and many need help. No age group has it easy, so let’s make it better. It takes a village to raise a family, regardless of what your family may look like. Let’s work together to support each other.

Expand Access to Community Spaces: Invest in and revitalize public spaces, such as parks, community centers, and libraries, to create hubs for social interaction and community events. We need spaces that engage teenagers and give them the room to grow and become the next community leaders.
Support New Local Organizations: Create space for emerging grassroots initiatives alongside established groups, fostering diverse voices.
Address Social Isolation: Combat social isolation, particularly among vulnerable populations such as seniors and individuals with disabilities, as well as young graduates and young adults, through transportation assistance, visitor programs, and technology training.
Invest in Affordable Childcare and Elder Care: Investing in affordable and accessible childcare and elder care services to enable community engagement or simply provide struggling families more peace of mind.

Government can be a scary word, but in some way or another, we all participate in it. Transparency empowers residents to become partners, enabling them to drive the change they need for themselves, their families, and their communities. Residential taxes may support the City’s budget, and whether homeowner or renter, you contribute through taxes embedded in rent and property ownership. Let’s make sure you know what you paid for.

Improve Transparency and Efficiency: Provide support and funding for improving the many processes the City is responsible for and streamlining workflows, digitizing records, and ensuring public access to information.
Develop Community Indicators: Establish a set of community indicators to track progress in areas like social connectedness, civic engagement, and neighborhood well-being. Use these indicators to inform policy decisions and resource allocation.
Establishing an Accountability Framework: Create a clear accountability framework, outlining roles, responsibilities, reporting mechanisms, and disciplinary procedures for misconduct. This will include whistleblower protections and provisions for independent investigations.
